SUPERVISOR
Peabody Western Coal Company has an opening for a
Preparation Plant Supervisor. The primary responsibility of
the position is to ensure the delivery of coat for a desig-
nated shift with a represented workforce• Responsible for
meeting safety and production targets along with mainte-
nance and quality requirements for the Preparation Plant
and associated equipment.

Preparation Plant responsibilities include overseeing three
coal crushing facilities, five storage areas, and 18 miles of
beltline which dumps into a silo storage area and then onto
a rail. Employee must take a positive approach to safety,
health, and environmental activities related to the depart-
ment.
The successful candidate is required to have a High
School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Te n(10) years min-
ing experience, five (5) years experience with large mining
machinery, support equipment and operation and main-
tenance of a preparation plant. Supervisor and mechani-
cal skills are required. Must have and maintain a current
Driver's Licerse and ability to obtain MSHA Certification
immediately.
This position also requires excellent comprehensive and
diagnostic skills. Must be able to write detailed documents
and reports proficiently in English. Must read instructions,
numbers, and perform complex math computations related
to the position. The person must also be able to operate
a personal computer, and have good knowledge of com-
puter software, (including Excel, Work, and PowerPoint).
This position is based in Northern Arizona and requires the
need to work beyond normal hours including weekends.
this is a third shift position (11pmto 8am).

mensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the posi-
tion as well as the skills and experience of the successful

• Executive team member for institutional planning, imple-
mentation and assessment ; executive committee, strategic
planning, and ex officio on academic standing committees;
• Administrative responsibility including preparing and pre-
senting Board of Regents reports and other tribal govern-
ing or community organizations in English and Navajo;
Ensures compliance of applicable tribal, state and federal
laws and regulations related to confidentiality, integrity and
accountability; Coordinates and collaborates with the vice
residents of Finance. & Administration and Institutional Ad-
vancement; Evaluates and. allocates human, financial and
facility resources among academic divisions, regional cen-
ters, academic support departments, and student services;
and policy review, revision and implementation of faculty
contract and credentials, workload, and academic assess-
ment. Ensures efficacy of academic programs courses, and
services to prepare students academically•
• Serves as Chief Academic Officer for primary contact on
academic programs, assessment, and articulation of devel-
opmental courses, concurrent and dual enrollment courses,
general education program, and associate of arts, associ-
ate of science, associate of applied science and certificate
programs offered by the college; member of Arizona and
New Mexico academic coordinating committees and coun-
cils; administrative oversight of three academic divis ons,
'six academic departments, articulation and assessment,
regional centers, distance education, college library system
and college athletics; and coordination of college partner-
ship for academic and research initiatives; oversees ac-
creditation reports and activities.
Serves as Chief Student Affairs Officer for primary admin-
istrative contact for student affairs includinQ but not limited
to required reporting for financial aid, athlebcs, and student
development; administrative oversight of the Division of
Student Services (Learning Center, Admissions & Recruit-
ment, Residence Life, Financial Aid & Scholarship, Student
Programs, Student Retention); Student Government and
Student Programming.
Use of institutional information system for finance and stu-
dent information system; Review of routine reports includ-
ing budget transaction, student enrollment and registration
trends, and compiling institutional reports; and faculty work-
load and teaching contact hours.
Education:
• Doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration, Edu-
cational Leadership or related field is preferred. Master's
Degree in Higher Education administration or related field
is required. This position serves as the Chief Academic Of-
ricer and has administrative responsibility for the Bachelor
of Arts in Elementary Education program.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of higher education administra-
tive and management experience or increasin level and
complexity of responsibility in managerial position in aca-
demic administration, student affairs or both. At least one
year of experience may have included budget manage-
ment, performance evaluation, hiring and disciplinary ac-
tions duties and responsibilities.
As a member of the executive team, the Vice President
must cooperate, collaborate and communicate with internal
and external constituencies in English and Navajo. Must
demonstrate the understanding, appropriateness and ap-
)lication of Navajo kinship system and protocol.
Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of fluency in the
speaking andwriting of the English language. Oral fluency
in Navajo is highly desirable but not mandatory. Navajo
speaking required and Navajo writing a plus.
